The Events
There are five separate main events being played simultaneously at the venue. For the males, the categories are Gentlemen’s Singles and Gentlemen’s Doubles. In order to emerge as the winner, the competitors undergo a single of elimination and must defeat their opponents utilizing the rule best of five sets for the finals. This means that for males to be proclaimed as victorious, they have to be successful in three out of five games.
Females compete among themselves too. Similar to the male category, the Ladies’ Singles and Ladies’ Doubles make use of the single elimination process. However, they differ in the finals since instead of five sets, only three matches are being competed. Whoever garnered two out of three sets shall win.
The Mixed Doubles is also a popular part of the two-week tournament. In addition to the five main events there are four more invitational games are being carried out. For the gentlemen who are grouped as aged 35 above and those 45 above Doubles as well as for the ladies who fall under same age bracket.
For the youth categories are Boys’ and Girls’ Singles, Boys’ and Girl’s doubles. However, the Mixed Doubles are not done for the junior level.
