Yes! Boston Celtics are officially the 2008 NBS champions. After 22 long years, Celtics have finally brought back the glory as they grab their 17th NBA title and the first one for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen – the new generation’s Big Three. Because of the team’s great defense, Celtics concluded the game with an astounding 131-92 blowout over Lakers.
Paul Pierce, with his first championship trophy after nine years with the Celtics, was named the Finals MVP after scoring an average of 21.8 points per game in the series of six. As for Kobe Bryant, although named the 2008 NBA MVP, was left regarding the season as a failure.
